We are located at 110 Clark Street, Atikokan, Ontario, Canada, near beautiful Quetico Park.  It is our goal to become the Art Centre of Canada and eventually the Art Centre of the WORLD!!

Mandate:

• To build self esteem through artistic expression
• Nurture creative development in the arts
• Provide a safe, alternative opportunity for individuals to express themselves artistically
• To encourage artistic originality
• To develop talent and social well being through original artistic and creative workshops
• To honour local artistic talents and abilities

Mission Statement:

The main purpose of the Art Centre is the presentation of the Arts.

·        To educate and increase the public’s understanding and appreciation of the Arts.

·        To provide performances that encourages shared artistic expressions.

·        To provide instructional seminars on topics related to performing and visual arts.

·        To produce performing arts festivals for purposes of developing existing local talent and provide a venue for existing talent in conjunction with educating and advancing the public’s understanding and appreciation of performing arts.

·        To educate artists through participation in festivals, events and arts related workshops

      To provide an encouraging environment and exposure to the arts to increase the development and comprehension of excellent artistic practices.

During our strategic planning session with Quetico Centre, we split our goals into four categories:

• Performing Arts
• Children's and Youth Programs
• Alternatives
